I'm Czech girl living in Florida and I missed our traditional wheat- rye sourdough bread. That's when my journey to learning about it started.

Over the past 2 years I shared my starter with many and they all are creating beautiful breads.

  • 100% Wheat bread flour
  • 100% Filtered water

After I use about 2 tbsp of starter from my fridge to activate the starter, I pour about 40g of water in the glass bottle my starter is kept in in fridge, and wash of the sides to dissolve leftover starter. Then I put in 40g of flour and whisk till incorporated. Then i leave it on the counter for 8- 12 hours before I return it to the fridge.
