My neighbor gave us some bread and crackers. My kids were hooked so I made my own starter and began experimenting. I now live in Jacksonville Florida and my sourdough drove 5 days cross country with us on our move.
Charakteristische Eigenschaften
My starter reminds me of a good Parmesan cheese. It gets very happy big bubbles and makes a beautiful crusty, blustery bread. However, my favorite thing to make with my starter is homemade crackers.

Pour out 1/2 of volume in jar. Add 1/2 cup flour and just under 1/2 cup water and stir all together. Lightly screw on jar lid and set on pot holder on counter
